Of colons and the people attached to them @ 01:53 pm

Man... one of my oldest friends just posted that his dad died on Tuesday. Gabe and I went and saw him less than a month ago. I knew he was undergoing chemotherapy and wasn't feeling 100% but he looked great. He played with Gabe, and even chased down their cats so Gabe could pet them. Growing up his dad was always cool to us, he never gave us grief about being young nerdlings playing games or watching Star Trek all hours of the day/night. I always thought he was a cool guy. Sucks he's gone :(

He died of colon cancer which makes it hit home even more seeing as I just had my colon removed. I suppose colon cancer isn't something I have to worry about per se, but it certainly brings the whole colon thing into perspective. You don't realize how much you take your body for granted until it stops working.

I am sorry about the death of the father of one of your oldest friends. He sounds as if he was a very special person.
