Tuesday, Mar. 1 at 9/8c - "NYPD BLUE: A FINAL TRIBUTE"

NYPD Blue, the groundbreaking ABC police series and one of the longest running dramas in broadcast history, will bid fans a fond farewell with a special one-hour retrospective celebrating its successful and inspiring 12-year run. Emmy Award winner Jimmy Smits, who was also nominated five times for his portrayal of Detective Bobby Simone on NYPD Blue, will host this emotional look back at some of the milestones in the show's history.

I'm totally bummed! I love that show, what am I gonna do without new episodes? There are only two hundred and sixty two episodes to watch! That's just not enough!

I agree. I absolutely LOVE that show, and the sentimental retrospective was terrific, as was the final episode aired last night. That ensemble cast was incredibly talented, and Dennis Franz topped everyone with his textured portrayal of the tortured but evolving Sipowicz. I am now blue about the end of NYPD Blue. :(
