Police officer demands pubic-hair sample @ 11:11 am

Holy crap I want to gouge my eyes out! I'm on hold for Compaq tech support for this laptop a lady is having problems with. I've been on hold for 38 minutes now and I've been listening to the same hold music. It's two songs in a loop. Between "Tequila Sunrise" and whatever saxaphone Chrismas music they're play I think I'll take the full frontal lobotomy!

UGH!

38 minutes is that all. I was on hold with our after hour Web-ster tech support for 1 hour 12 minutes, I had to listen to the same song/"you are a valued customer" loop so many times I forgot what I called about.

That's ridiculous. Did you let anyone know you had to wait that long.

You really should drop a quick email to both Gene and Deb. Let them know. Gene just got done telling me today he hasn't heard ANY complaints.

I bet you if I threw up a quick "how's our phone support" survey on the web, we'd be seeing plenty of complaints.

Are you kidding? Everyone is too afraid of that stuff. Besides, that would require programming.

I thought I should let you guys my experience with Web-ster after hours tech support. A little history I rebuilt my computer Saturday September 6, 2003. When it came time to install Web-ster I realized I was missing two bits of information that I needed. First and most important was the dial up number, second I had an old Web-ster 4.00 installation disk that was asking for a CD Key that I did not have. I decided to call Web-ster tech support rather than waiting till Monday, or bothering my coworkers at home on the weekend. It was 8:32pm when I called tech support. They finally picked up and talked to me at about 9:44pm. That is 1hour and 12minutes that I was on hold. By then I had to remember what I had called about, and try and explain what I needed.

Normally I would have hung up after 10-15 minutes of being on hold. The only reason I sat on hold that long was I work here and I was curious as to how long our customers may have to sit on hold before they get help.

Again this was just my one experience with Web-ster after hours tech support.

Thanks,
