The edible flesh of animals, especially that of mammals as opposed to that of fish or poultry.

Your own definition betrays you. Especially does not exclude fish or poultry as a meat. Your argument is weak and failing in logic.

What part of "as opposed to that of fish or poultry" doesn't make sense.

'especially that of mammals' 'as opposed to that of fish or poultry'

thus, mammals are not fish, nor are they poultry

thus, making the new phrase 'the edible part of an animal, especially mammals. please note mammals are neither fish nor poultry'

therefore meaning that fish contain meat, even if it's less cool than meat that comes from mammals

therefore meaning scottie just got OWNED.

From Merriam-Webster's Dictionary:
1 a : FOOD; especially : solid food as distinguished from drink b : the edible part of something as distinguished from its covering (as a husk or shell)
2 : animal tissue considered especially as food
3 archaic : 1MEAL 1; especially : DINNER
4 a : the core of something : HEART b : PITH 2b
5 : favorite pursuit or interest

Animal tissue is the definition of meat. Fish is an animal, and it has tissue. Therefore, Fish is meat.

Since dictionaries differ over the exact definition, a single definition is not proof enough to resolve this debate. Therefore, I offer a real test. I will take a large bite of any food item you name other than those on *my* list of what is meat, without prior preperation (ie. cooking) if you will do the same for any food item I name that not on *your* list of what is meat.

Game, set, match.
