It's the year 2001. But where are the flying cars? I was promised flying cars! I don't see any flying cars! Why? Why? Why?

Just got back from some house shopping with my realtor... We went to look at the one house that I was interested in, but we couldn't get inside. He called to see if they were home and got their machine so he left them a message saying were coming. When we got there the screen door was locked and the lockbox was behind the screen door so I had no way to get inside. So I didn't even get to look at that house. He did have a new listing so we went and looked at that (#21).

This house has some problems, it would need some work but it's huge. It's about 2400 sq ft and two level. The basement has 2 bedrooms, a "study" with a fireplace, a bathroom and a full kitchen/bar. The upper floor has three bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, and living room. The basement has its own entry so it would be easy to rent. Very interesting house, but it would need some work. Plus there is "no record of [it] being on the sewer," which provides yet another problem. Mike is going to look into it and let me know.

So as I'm driving home I drive past the house I wanted to look at (because it was on the way home) and there is a handwritten note on the screen door. I was about 25 feet away but from what I could tell it said something to effect of "sorry the house is sold." What the hell! This house was listed on the 16th! It's the 22nd! That's six damn days. It takes me about 2 or 3 days to drive past a house and see if I want to look at it, and if I do I schedule with mike when I go walk through it. I can't do that in 6 days. It's not possible for me to beat the bastards into look at a house... Good lord! So we'll see what all happens with that.

I included House #20 because it was one I went and looked a while back. Nothing special, but I'm posting the pics anyway.
