Country music lowers your kids IQ

The beach pictures are uploading now. By the time I finish this they should be up. So the beach was a lot of fun. I didn't get a reservation until Thursday night, and the news was saying the beaches are packed because people are going there instead of flying. So I was freaking out that I wouldn't be able to get a place, but I did. The Cozy Cove inn, in Lincoln City. It was very nice, much nicer than the motels we stayed in on the roadtrip. I wasn't expecting it to be quite so nice, it was right on the beach. Very cool...

We had a lot of fun. I've never been to Lincoln City before so we walked the beach for a mile or so. They have lots of cool rocks/tidepools there that we explored. After that we drove around and went out to dinner. We went to Kyllos which was the fancy sea food place. It was kind of expensive but the food was really good. We were there about 3 hours because the service was slow and they were busy. I didn't leave a huge tip.

After that we pretty much crashed because it was 10:00pm and we were both exhausted. The next day (today) we drove into Newport to see the sights there. We saw the undersea aquarium show they have there which was pretty neat, with those tickets we got a package deal to see the wax museum and Ripley's Believe it or Not. I've never been to a wax musuem before, it was pretty much what I expected. Lame. They had some interesting exhibits but it was mostly lame. Ripley's was sort of interesting, lots of stuff straight out of his books. After that we drove home, pretty fun weekend I'd say.
