How do you know he doesn't smoke monkey pole?

Ok we're officially in Santa Fe New Mexico. It's pretty interesting, most interesting town in New Mexico. Considering that we've been in Gallup, and Albequerque that doesn't say too much. Gallup would be my idea of hell. If I die and am forced to go to hell, it will be Gallup New Mexico. It was a really scary town.

So we're in Santa Fe which is pretty nice. It's kind of small, and very touristy so it's not really all that exciting. We're going to go hit a Bar and Grill that Anil has been drooling over for a while, then after that we'll hit the road and drive north until we find some cheap lodging. They won't let us camp tonight because of some bear sightings. I didn't think it was that big of a deal, we could just use Anil as bait. Then I realized that he could outrun Ben and I so that's out of the question.

Let's see... two days ago we were in the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon is absolutely amazing. Much more than I expected it to be. Very pretty, very unique, and huge. It's weird to look at the Colorado river and think that a little river like that could do all that. We've been threating each other, "don't fuck with me, or I'll cut you like the Colorado river cut up Arizona!"

We met some really cool chicks while we were there too. Anil invited them to come down and have dinner with us. Ben and I didn't think they would but they did. We ended up eating, chatting, drinking, chatting, drinking some more, etc. We were up until about 1am chatting. It gets really cold that time of night in the G.C. too. Weird because they were both from Oregon too, both go to OSU too. Cool chicks, good food, good conversation, good times.

'Bout time to hit the road though. The plan is to try and make it back into Portland Saturday night or maybe Sunday morning. We have a long stretch of driving ahead of us.
