Well it's a "Cisco Security Seminar" so I'm not expecting too much. We'll see :)

I was thinking about not going, but I think I'll go just for the free stuff.

Seminar Summary:

Welcome, please help yourself to coffee, juice, bagels, and muffins, complements of Cisco Systems. Security is key in today's competitive enterprise IT environments, and there's nothing better for providing border security than Cisco's PIX firewall series. However, as any cisco-certified security expert can tell you, firewalls aren't enough. In addition to a firewall, you need tight controls on your Cisco-brand (tm) enterprise router, and you need to take full advantage of the VLAN capabilities of your Cisco-brand switches. Don't forget that with the new enterprise Cisco Content Switches you can protect your external servers from direct contact with the outside world. And for the truly security conscious, a real security expert will tell you that you need Intrusion Detections Systems - also known as IDS, such as the cutting-edge, market-leading NetRanger* series IDS from Cisco Systems. Thank you. Lunch will be served while we have a brief Q&A session on Cisco's security solutions, after which we will hold the drawing for the Cisco-sponsored door prize and you can all pick up as many Cisco brochures from the back table as you'd like, complements of Cisco Systems.

Cisco.

* They may have changed the name, that's what it was called a couple of years ago.

Cisco Systems. Over 90% of the Internet's traffic goes over Cisco Systems products, including this comment.

Re: Seminars

It wasn't nearly as Cisco centric as I was expecting, but it was still decent...
