Blackice: i like havein super sayin 2 goku near my ass :)

I woke up this morning a little early, around 8:30. I came into my computer room to check my email etc then I laid down to watch a little Star Trek Voyager when I realized that I had something in my eye. I thought it was dust or something so I was flushing my eye with water, no luck. Whatever it was seemed to move around in my eye... I must have tried flying my eye three different ways, for about twenty minutes. I was about to lose it, I was going crazy. I was starting to think there wasn't anything in my eye that it was just maybe scratched or something. As a last ditch effort I closed my eyes and went back to sleep for another three hours.

Now it seems to be gone, which is good. It's still a little bitch itchy but I think it could be just a little scratched. Ten times better than it was, so I feel better.

Price of freedom is eternal vigilance

Today there were three more ant "scouts" in my computer room. I'm getting really fed up with these little bastards. They've been in my front room slowly eating the poison I set out for them for the last month! There is no way I'm conceding another room to them. So I mounted a full out Google search for ways to get rid of household ants. I came across two great sites on thefrugallife.com for getting ride of ants. I mirrored them below.

I changed my plan of attack from what it was last year. Last year was the "lets kill all the ants and drive them back to the depths of hell from whence they came." Needless to say that didn't work to well, it just quarantined them. This year I've adopted a more friendly attitude. I don't want the ants dead, I just don't want them in my house! They can live outside all the way, just leave my house alone! So I mixed up a spray bottle of: lemon dish soap, borax soap, and water and sprayed huge chunks of my house. Inside and out I sprayed walls and wiped them down with a damp cloth. Reading that site leads me to believe that ants have really sensitive noses so the smellier stuff you can use the better. Since I've sprayed/wiped I haven't seen any ants. So far so good.
