I bought this great knife at this tool show/sale the other day, and now I'm wishing that I had bought more. My boss suggested (afterward) that I buy several and give them away as Christmas presents. I would have liked to have a backup or two, in case I lose this one. I mean hell, it was only $4 for a nice stainless steel knife.

I got my PERL scripting working damn near 100% today. I felt very productive at work today. Not only did I get my PERL script to insert the data into the MySQL server that I setup, but I also got MyODBC working so I can view the SQL data via a nice gui (Access).

Next thing to figure out is how I can get my VB apps to query against a SQL server. Right now they're all Access. Shouldn't be too hard, there are several good examples. It's all just a DB driver anyway, all the code should be the same. I can code VB database apps like no tomorrow anyway. More research to come.
