I'm full and sitting here at my computer trying to get some things for work fixed. My boss got promoted from supervisor to manager. Well now his old supervisor possition is open. I'm going to apply for it. I don't have the "1 year of supervisor experience" required, but otherwise I would be way more qualified then anyone else that they would hire. So we'll see.

some advise dude, good luck on getting the position, but if the supervisor position takes you away from doing a lot of the hardcore techie stuff, you'll regret it, trust me.

That's what I'm looking at. I really have to evaluate if that is what it would entail. I have plenty of time to be a supervisor, I think maybe I should do the "fun" stuff now.

However another guy and I are thinking about doing as "partners," we'll see if that works.

its not the fact that its "fun" doing what we do, as a supervisor i didnt feel i was getting the same sense of satisfaction i get from being a techie, i didnt feel that i was really making a difference, and therefore the job lost one of its most rewarding parts, and if work isnt rewarding for you, you're in the wrong job. just my 2p (3c)

I think I'll apply for it at least, I doubt I'll get it. We'll see what happens from there.
