I've come to realize that in this vast and crazy journey we call life that if I want to become/evolve/mature into person that I want to be, then I must surround myself with people of similar attitudes. I've come to realize that some of my friends do not embody these virtues. This is a problem.

Actually, I was thinking about all the people that I would consider friends and who I'd want to hang out with, and you were one of the first people to come to mind that I would want to hang out with. So the short answer is "no"

Yes, there's nothing like a little friend-culling for moving into true personhood.

I have this philosophy about clothes. If you haven't worn it in two years, give it away. The same can be applied to friends. Don't ask me to explain.

P.S. I like your picture. It reminds me of the Politenessman cartoon from National Lampoon.

Ooooooooooh culling. What an excellent word. Thank you for the advice. Do you think I'm in the right to want to do that?

i think its ok. I feel the same way. The only way to become a different person, is to surround yourself with those type of ppl. But i dont agree with kickin all your friends to the curb. If u only had friends that are just like u, wouldnt it be kinda boring hangin out with them all the time?

I'm not gonna kick all my friends to the curb. my friends are cool. I don't have that big of a problem with them. It's just that I look at them, and look at myself and our values are different. That's all. More of an observation than anything.
