That's what you get... @ 01:20 pm

A rumour on CNN's citizen journalism website claiming Apple Inc. Chief Executive Officer Steve Jobs had a heart attack briefly caused the company's stock to drop to an 18-month low on Friday. - cbc.ca

Just on the rumor that he had a heart attack the stock price dropped? All the more reason to not trust non-vetted citizen journalism.

Agreed. The market has always moved on rumor, innuendo and gossip, but today with the internet and the bloggers, stocks are all the more vulnerable to people with personal agendas. The reason that Apple was so vulnerable to such a rumor is that Steve Jobs is generally believed to be indispensible to the success and progress of Apple.
