Wait why is it brown... OH DEAR LORD! @ 07:49 pm

I got an email from my physics educated cousin about a botched colectomy. I had some minor complications after my surgery, but nothing like this!

A surgery meant to reverse a colostomy on a Dover man went horribly wrong last year, resulting in fecal mater being discharged from his penis and urine passing through his colon, according to a lawsuit filed in Superior Court.

I heard about this on Mark & Brian, and a listener who's a RN called in. They stated that this would be an extremely rare case, since you'd have to first disconnect the bladder tract as well as the colon tract, which you have to ask "Why are they touching the bladder?"

Not to mention the bladders "connections" are much smaller than the colon. Think drinking straw vs garden hose. This would have to be a major foul up.
